He’ll start responding back everyday, and soon enough he’ll be the one greeting you everyday. Also, don’t be afraid to start a conversation with him. A light topic like a movie or tv show will start an easy, flowing conversation. (“Hey, have you seen Once Upon a Time? Cause you look just like one of the characters!”) You then have a reason to talk to him, that’s not overly weird. It also guarantees he’ll answer back.
